These visits focus on evaluating your response to psychiatric medications, discussing any side effects, and making adjustments as needed. Sessions may also include brief supportive psychotherapy to address current challenges and provide ongoing care.

Duration: 15–30 minutes
Fee: $300

These visits focus on psychotherapy, drawing from a range of approaches tailored to your individual needs. Depending on your treatment plan, sessions may include medication management or be dedicated entirely to talk therapy.

Duration: 45–60 minutes
Fee: $500

Dr. Araujo is considered an out-of-network psychiatrist in California for most insurance plans, except those listed below, and does not bill insurance directly.

However, he can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

At this time, Dr. Araujo is in-network with select commercial PPO plans administered through Optum (United Behavioral Health).

As coverage varies by plan, please contact the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm that your behavioral health benefits are managed by Optum.
