Dr. Helder Araujo is a board-certified psychiatrist in California whose work integrates psychiatry, neuroscience, and education.

Originally from Portugal, he completed medical school and began training in neurology before moving to the United States. He earned a PhD in neuroscience and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California (USC), and has taught at colleges and universities—an experience he continues to value.

He completed psychiatric training to focus on his primary interest: helping adults navigate complex mental health challenges with clarity and depth.

His approach integrates evidence-based psychiatric care with insights from neuroscience and psychoanalytic thought, allowing for treatment that is both clinically grounded and individualized.

He works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, OCD, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders, providing care through telepsychiatry across California.
